1965 Canadian Morris Mini Minor Mk1 being converted to 998 daily driver/Corinthian vintage racer. Have spare 1275 hot street motor, too. Bought it in California in 1979 when I lived in Santa Monica. In "storage" for past 28+ years. Drove it a few months and then it blew head gasket. Parked it. Life took over. Been buying new parts for past five years, including shipment by boat from UK and wheels brought over from UK as checked baggage by friends.
You may have noticed that John below goes by John Lee, his radio persona. Funny thing is we sort of met because our names were same but what is really kind of weird is that I've been a journalist/mass communications writer for my adult life, including having been a radio news reporter/announcer when I was in college. Small world, huh?

I have owned 3 Minis, my latest being the Matt Black Beast. To say, "vie tinkered" is an understatement. It has a 1300 MG Turbo engine with the best twin carbs beneath the hood and an upgraded fuel system. The car sits on Hi-Los for maximum handling. I have a set of Mini Lights with Yoko tyres waiting to go on, but not yet.
